Present distribution: Cameroon to Gabon east through Central African Republic and Zaire, Kenya and south-west Somalia.
Behaviour: Preferred habitat: all forest biotopes in lowlands and mountains up to 3000 m. For all other data, see Rotflankenducker
Population status: Stable.

Hunting methods: With beaters and dogs, nets, from a hide.
Remarks: Female Peters‘ Duikers also carry horns; 9 subspecies are recorded. Several authors state that C. callipygus is a subspecies of C. natalensis; the
Subspecies are therefore omitted here.
